Fitness Together of Matthews was the first Fitness Together to open in the Charlotte area, in February of 2004, and recently (April 2009) moved into a brand new home near downtown Matthews. The staff at every Fitness Together strive each and every day to help all clients reach their health and fitness goals. The studio is located in Matthews Medical Park, a block away from the intersection of Sam Newell Rd., and Hwy 51.

Susie Gibson
Susie Gibson is passionate about motivating others to achieve their goals. She is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds a Master's degree in Psychology. She has also had extensive training in behavior modification. She uses this knowledge to help her clients stay focused and committed to their fitness goals. Susie knows first-hand that clients' success has a mental and physical component. She recently challenged herself by training and completing the Asheville-Citizen Times half-marathon. Susie's passion is to help people set and reach their goals, and to coach them through every step of the way. "Every client should have the opportunity to fulfill his or her potential and reap the physical and mental benefits that fitness provides; your success is my success." Susie and her college sweetheart, Bob, have been happily married for 14 years and have two daughters, ages 9 and 4. Susie is "thrilled to be a part of the FT team" and we are just as excited to have her on board!

Anthony Montoya
Anthony Montoya has been a certified resistance trainer and strength coach for nearly 10 years. While serving in the Air Force, Anthony found his passion for exercise and coaching by using his fitness knowledge to help his first client and co-worker earn 3rd place in the Ms. Fitness USA competition. Since then, Anthony has helped countless individuals achieve their fitness goals. “One thing I’ve realized is that not everyone wants to be a bodybuilder, but every health-conscious individual would like to build a better body!” Specializing in functional anatomy, strength, balance and overall wellness, Anthony is also an ISSA Certified Specialist in Performance Nutrition. “I’ve also realized that what you put into your body is key to how you look and feel - even if you workout, you can’t outwork a bad diet”. "I continue to look for ways to improve my own knowledge so that I can help our clients enjoy a healthy lifestyle.” Anthony has been married for 11 years to his wife Wendy. They have 2 children, Saryn (7 yrs) and Declan (6 yrs) and have been in the Charlotte area for 9 years.

Aaron Forinash
As a state champion in sprinting and power lifting in high school, Aaron graduated from Marshall University in 2005 with a BA in exercise physiology and adult fitness. Certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) he spent time concentrating on sports-specific training for elite athletes. Upon graduating, he returned to his home town, Beckley West Virginia, to work with cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Moving to Charlotte in 2006, he is currently working on his masterʼs degree in Kinesiology. Aaron enjoys designing unique and state-of-the-art exercise protocols specific to each clients needs. Through advanced cardiac, strength and flexibility programs, he believes each client can improve the efficiency of their workouts and gain better results from their experience at Fitness Together.

Lindsly Pittman
Lindsly joined the Fitness Together staff in April of 2007. She enjoys motivating and pushing her clients to achieve their maximum potential. She believes everyone is capable of more and pushes them to find their true limits. Lindsly takes a personal interest in each and every client and believes they deserve one-on-one attention in order to reach their individual goals. With her current studies and past experiences in Fitness and Wellness, Lindsly is always looking for new ways to make each session more enjoyable and interesting. Lindsly is currently seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on Fitness and Wellness at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. An obsession for working out makes Lindsly strive to push herself to her own true potential. She enjoys swimming, running, aerobics, and anything to get her heart pumping. She is a kind, caring person, and a great addition to the Fitness Together Team.

Josh Elmore
Josh recently returned to Charlotte after managing several fitness clubs in Baltimore, MD. Physical fitness has been a passion and part of his life for 10 years and counting. He is a mixed martial arts athlete who has trained with some of the best coaches and athletes in the sport. He brings his hard work ethic and intensity to all training sessions. His goal is to empower clients to make the necessary lifestyle changes to reach and maintain their goals. His perspective on fitness goes far beyond the gym; "The time you put it now is an investment, not only in your health, but also your character."

Laura Mayfield
Laura has been a trainer with Fitness Together since early in 2005 and was recently promoted to manager. She is a phenomenal trainer and a friend, who genuinely cares about the lives of our clients (inside and outside of Fitness Together). Laura earned her BS in Physical Education with a concentration in Fitness and Wellness from Winthrop University. She is also certified in personal training, BodyPump, and yoga. She has a passion for fitness that is truly contagious. She loves to exercise and encourages everyone to share the same passion for living a healthy and active life. She makes sure every client leaves with both a great workout and a smile.

Michael Patti
Michael Patti relocated to the Charlotte area from Long Island, New York, with his wife and infant daughter during the summer of 2008. Michael is a state certified physical education and health teacher. He holds a master's degree in both physical education and health education from Hofstra University. Mike developed a passion for fitness and exercise at an early age. He was a three-sport athlete in high school and also has enjoyed coaching over the years. He has been a personal fitness trainer for more than five years. Mike believes that everyone can achieve his or her fitness goals. He feels that dedication, hard work, and perseverance are three qualities that each client must develop in order to be successful. "I am very glad to be part of the Fitness Together community."

Michael Andryc
Michael Andryc is the perpetual coach. As a nationally certified fitness trainer, he has helped countless people achieve their fitness objectives. Mike’s approach guarantees results, while his compassionate and thoughtful demeanor endear his clients. Mike was a high school and college athlete playing football and volleyball for Ohio University. He became a fitness trainer in 1994, and began working for the fitness industry in Ohio. He was a stay at home dad for 10 years, and is an accomplished youth sports coach. Mike truly enjoys training all ages and has a passion for adding energy, agility and strength to his clients, which translates to a better quality of life. He especially enjoys helping older clients find fitness in their golden years . Mike has been a resident of Matthews for almost seven years, has been married for 15 years to his college sweetheart, Kim, and has a 14 year old daughter, Taylor, and an 12 year old son, Michael, III. Mike is pursuing a degree in physical therapy to further his desire in helping people regain their quality of life. "I am stoked to be a part of this team."

Steffie Fiore
Steffie has more than 8 years of outdoor adventure and fitness education experience and is a American College of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. A lifelong outdoors and fitness enthusiast, Steffie's career began at age 19 as a certified adventure education specialist, high/low ropes course facilitator and low-impact winter backpacking guide. During a three-year stint as a sponsored competitive cyclist, Steffie was recognized as Michigan Time Trial State Champion and qualified for the 2003 24 Hour Solo World Championships. Steffie earned her Yoga Alliance RYT certification in 2007 and brings to Fitness Together extensive knowledge of flexibility training. Steffie is passionate about and dedicated to helping clients create real and lasting change in their lives through commitment to fitness. “I have sincere admiration for every client who walks through our doors and the efforts they make towards living their best life. It's an honor to be a part of that process!”
